As Elvis was truly making a name for himself, he still tried to talk to his mother every night. He would perform for thousands of people and then make his way back to his dressing room where he would catch up with his mom and they would update each other on their lives. Gladys would also try to attend as many performances of his as possible but would grow angry with the hordes of people that would scream around him. During one event, Gladys pushed fans out of the way because she allegedly didn’t want to share her son with other people.
