It’s never a bad thing when someone as established as Simon Cowell says you were robbed on ‘American Idol.’ That’s what he said about Melinda Doolittle – who finished third on season six – with the music mogul believing she deserved to win.
Perhaps if she’d come first, her debut album might have peaked higher than 58 on the Billboard 200. Still, the meager chart performance hasn’t halted Doolittle’s career. She’s gone on to host the ‘American Idol’ recap show ‘Reality Check’ and bag a net worth of around $1.5 million.
