Everyone who appears on shows like ‘American Idol’ dreams of being the winner. Unfortunately, there can only be one of those every year, with contestants forced to fill out the lower ranks. Mandisa only came in ninth on the fifth season, although that placement hasn’t stood in the way of her success.
She’s released six studio albums so far – more than most alumni – all of which have charted on the Billboard 200. Most of them have sold several hundred thousand copies, which is perhaps why Mandisa’s now worth $3 million.
