Season eight winner Kris Allen might not have landed a number one with his first album after ‘American Idol,’ but it still performed well. Its sales of 346,000+ weren’t too shabby, although later efforts haven’t been quite so successful.
His most recent releases failed to impact the Billboard 200 at all, with his last charting album only selling a few thousand copies. Still, with a net worth of around $3.5 million, Allen’s not too upset. Besides, he’s too busy with his philanthropic work to worry about chart positions.
