Although Sephora workers aren’t technically allowed to do this, they also don’t need to. One of the perks of working for such a huge company is that these makeup lovers are actually given a huge number of freebies as a work perk.
Because of this, there is literally no reason for them to keep any samples for themselves. Instead, they give these samples, or “gratis,” to customers. It’s been noted that most employees give each customer around three free samples before they leave the store. That’s not too shabby.
