Although we live by the rule that you receive what you put in, we also live by the rule that everyone needs to be treated equally. Sephora has found a balance between these two notions and pays its workers through a salary, rather than commission.
While this works for some people, there are other workers who feel a little disheartened when they bring in a huge sale but are paid the same amount as someone who hasn’t sold a single thing. However, that’s just the way they run the shop in Sephora.
