Now for a way to bring it back to the passenger in our story. Giving something of yourself is one of those things that happens in an instant. The longer we think about it, the harder it is.
If that generous passenger would’ve hesitated a moment, he might’ve not given the soldier the seat ultimately. But he didn’t give himself time to think otherwise. He immediately jumped at the prospect of doing a good deed, and in the process showed us what the world’s about.
