TV acting has simply been a part of who she is since she made her big debut on Saved by the Bell, and following a brief foray into the world of movies, she returned to television in 2002. TV had taken hold of Thiessen and it didn’t seem like it was going to let go any time soon. She starred as Wilhelmina ‘Billie’ Chambers in Fox’s crime drama Fastlane, which was a popular show from 2002-2003, though it did only last one season.
Here, she portrayed a shady cop who was more than happy to break the rules in order to get what she wanted. Again Thiessen had to shed the image of the good girl to the point where Kelly Kapowski was practically a distant memory. This character was a far cry from the types of roles that people were used to seeing Thiessen in, but she did manage to pull it off rather nicely.
