There’s nothing funny about this one, where the character wasn’t the one to pass away. Laurie was the eldest Forman child, and was portrayed to have had multiple romantic entanglements, including with Ashton Kutcher’s Kelso and Wilmer Valderrama’s Fez, whom she married so he could get his green card.
Laurie had to be written off to “attend beauty school” midway through the third season, however, as Kelly suffered from severe substance abuse problems. She returned for a handful of episodes in season five, but left again – permanently – with the role being recast. Kelly passed away in late 2014.
