Being a child actor on a ‘90s sitcom was brutal business, as they would be written off the show or replaced by a different actor altogether at the drop of a dime.
Minkus was one such casualty, appearing as the nerdy foil for Cory, Shawn, and Topanga in elementary school. He was written off the show after its first season ended, but at least it treated his departure with a bit of a sense of humor – he popped up again four years later, on the season finale, to reveal he had just moved to a homeroom across the hall.
