This show may have been called “Scandal,” but the producers certainly weren’t interested in any drama off-screen. Again, a main character – litigator Harrison Wright – was killed off, this time by the more direct means of a bullet – courtesy of the Secret Service – with the reason being unsettling accusations surrounding the actor.
While not a problem on-set, off it Short was accused by his then-wife of domestic abuse, to which he later pleaded guilty. Even off the show he struggled with legal issues, and was accused of assaulting a man at a party. He later admitted to suffering from substance abuse problems.
