Because of this, Kleinfeld and Say Yes To The Dress has often come under fire, and even had numerous lawsuits against them. In 2016, a bride named Alexandra Godina decided to sue Say Yes To The Dress when she discovered that they were going to debut her episode before her wedding took place, thus ruining the whole surprise of her gown. Unfortunately, she lost her caught battle as her contract worked against her.
