Portrayed by Jesse Plemons, Landry Clarke is first introduced as a somewhat nerdy student at Dillon High School. He is best friends with Dillon’s quarterback, Matt Saracen, and decides to join the football team in the second season in order to impress his dad. He is in his own band and is madly in love with Tyra Collette. Landry is an extremely intelligent young man, who frequently gets straight As. Eventually, he has to transfer to East Dillon High, and ends up being one of the team’s captains.
