Daniella Alonso took on the role of Carlotta Alonso, Matt Saracen’s grandmother’s at-home nurse. At first, neither Matt nor his grandmother are very fond of Carlotta, but eventually they both welcome her into their home. Matt ends up falling for her and the two have a brief relationship. After Carlotta leaves the Saracen house in order to return to her family in Guatemala, Matt begs her to stay, but it isn’t enough and she leaves him heartbroken.
