Although her failure to qualify for the Olympics left Allison devastated, that didn’t stop her from continuing to work hard on the field.
After the disappointment in 2012, she stayed focused on competing at the national level and started training in Phoenix where she enlisted the help of a new coach. Stokke was desperate to make it to the Olympics, especially after coming so close to the London Games. However, after a series of disappointments in the last few years, she gave up competing nationally in 2017.
