Not only did Stokke not enjoy being talked about because of her looks, but she also believed other competitors were more deserving of the attention.
She isn’t embarrassed to admit that she wasn’t the best pole vaulter in the country when people started going crazy over her. There were plenty of other skilled women in the field who were just as attractive and talented, so why was all the focus on her? Allison will never understand what enticed people to her, but a part of her will always wonder.
