Although the attention was all on Stokke, she wasn’t the only one having to deal with it. Her parents were also put through the wringer when their daughter became the center of attention online.
They hated seeing the effect the publicity had on Allison, with her mom recently commenting that the experience forced her to grow up quickly. A 17-year-old Stokke saw firsthand just how brutal people could be, and it changed her forever. On the plus side, it taught her to grow a thick skin and block out the haters.
