The former star of The Wonder Years, Danica McKellar, played Trudy, a girl who Ted has a one-night stand with during the first season. He meets her in the bathroom at MacLaren’s, and after just getting out of a two-year long relationship, she decides to hook up with the first guy she lays eyes on. She first spots Barney, but she dismisses him. Later on, she bumps into Ted and the two have a brief fling. The pair end up having a brief reunion two seasons later.
