Knowles played Amber Addison, the other half of the mean girl duo, Amber and Ashley. Along with Perez de Tagle as Ashley, the pair spent their days taunting Miley and Lilly at school. 
Throughout the series, Amber and Ashley aimed to humiliate and publicly embarrass Miley and her friends, despite being huge fans of Hannah Montana. This also caused some rocky patches in Miley and Lilly’s friendship, when Lilly wanted Miley to reveal herself to the two bullies for an easier life.

Though not a star like Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez, Shanica Knowles has remained popular with fans of many productions. She played Shauna Keaton in Disney Channel’s original movie, Jump In!, along with playing the recurring role of Simone Burch in soap opera, The Young and the Restless.
She is also set to join Tyra Banks in Life-Size 2 to be released in December 2018. She has also recorded and released a few songs since Hannah Montana.
