Miley Cyrus played Miley Stewart / Hannah Montana in the series and was unsurprisingly the protagonist of the series. Miley Stewart was a teenager living in Malibu who also doubled as a pop star. She spent most of her days with her best friends, Lilly and Oliver, and trying to keep her secret identity from everyone.
She was a humorous and sarcastic character but dealt with her fair share of difficulties in her home life, mostly stemming from her need to keep her alter ego under wraps.

Following her fame in Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus became quite the celebrity. Cyrus released her album, Bangerz, in 2013 which was hugely successful, and sold over a million copies in the U.S. alone.
She then went on to become the most controversial artist at the time, cutting off her hair and stripping down to virtually nothing for many videos and performances, including the famously wild Wrecking Ball video in 2013. However, she has since returned to what resembles the ‘old her,’ releasing another successful album in 2017 – Younger Now.
