Brooke Shields played Miley’s late mother in the show. Although Robby’s wife and Miley’s mother, Susan, had already passed away by the beginning of the show, she still made frequent appearances, proving herself to be responsible and compassionate.
She was often seen in home videos when the family remembered her, along with flashbacks, which usually served to help Miley overcome obstacles. In one episode, Susan appears to Miley in a dream to offer her support and advice on a subject which was particularly troubling her.

Some of these include the voice of Mrs. Goodman in Mr. Pickles from 2014 until the present day, Charlotte Thornton in When Calls the Heart in 2016, and the voice of Jean in Under Wraps. She has also garnered three Golden Raspberry Awards, along with several nominations for other awards.
