Looking back at the show, the first two seasons began with a bit of a rocky start. The Jenny Jones show was very similar to the platform that Oprah used, but it wasn’t exactly working for Jenny. By the third season in 1993, the show decided to take on more unusual and outlandish topics, which was when it really took off. Critics then compared it to The Jerry Springer Show, which debuted a couple of weeks after Jones’ show and held the same tabloid and family feud types of discussions.
