Before Jenny ever made her own television show and before she became a household name Jenny worked as a stand-up comedian and was trying to make ends meet. She was on the road and worked with many famous comedians including Jerry Seinfeld, Garry Shandling, and Brad Garrett. Jenny finally caught her big break when she became the first woman to ever win “Star Search” Comedy Grand Prize of $100,000. This bumped up Jenny’s status and she started performing for bigger audiences in places like the Los Angeles Universal Amphitheater.
