In a world full of magic and might, it’s no surprise that many of the former students and prominent witches and wizards of the wizarding world want to return to Hogwarts as ghosts. In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, we were introduced to one of those ghosts: Moaning Myrtle.
So-called because she cries and whines a lot, Moaning Myrtle died when she looked into the deadly eyes of the Basilisk when Tom Marvolo Riddle first opened the Chamber of Secrets. She later helps Harry solve his clue for the second Triwizard Tournament task.
