Rapper Missy Elliot was one of the many stars that arrived at Aaliyah’s funeral to say “Goodbye.” However, she almost never made it. Missy Elliot reports that she had grown close to Aaliyah after years of working together and even considered the youngster a younger sister. So when she received the call Aaliyah had passed away, Missy believed someone was playing a cruel joke on her. It was as if there was no way she would ever be able to go on without her musical family.
