While she was still charming millions around the world as the childlike Cat, Ariana was gearing up to release her debut solo album.

Titled “Yours Truly,” the release was a chance for the star to cash in on the success of “Victorious” and show that she had mainstream appeal as a singer. She obviously did something right, because the album peaked at number one in the U.S., shifting around 600,000 copies. Apparently, the transition from actress to pop star was not going to be a problem for her.
