At the 1990 MTV Music Awards, New Edition got back together for a reunion performance that inspired the members to regroup and make new music. In 1991 the whole gang got back together, including Bobby Brown, to make a remix Word to the Mutha! a song by Bell Biv DeVoe. The next reunion of the band was in 1992, when the entire crew got back together to perform at Bobby Brown’s wedding when he married Whitney Houston, whom he had met at the Soul Train Music Awards in 1989.
