After the boys completed their first entire concert tour, exhausted and overworked, they were dropped back at their homes in the Boston projects. Each member of New Edition received a check for their hard work. But when they opened the envelope they were in shock. It was made out for $1.87 dollars. That’s it. When the boys complained, the label explained that they had to deduct for the touring and other expenses. So the boys broke up with their producer.
