[post_page_title]Who’s my record label[/post_page_title]
New Edition realized once their second album was produced that they didn’t actually sign a contract with MCA Records but rather their record deal was actually with the Jump and Shoot production company. But how did they not know who their record label was? Jump and Shoot made a deal with MCA that it would own all of MCA Record’s rights to the New Edition group. New Edition didn’t want to have anything to do with Jump and Shoot production so each band member borrowed $100,000 to buy out their contract with Jump and Shoot.
