Underwood was voted the American Idol winner during the 2005 season finale, beating out rocker Bo Bice. She was awarded a recording contract from 19 Recordings and began working on her debut album. Throughout her season she exclaimed her love for country music and belted out some of the genre’s biggest tunes including Man! I Feel Like A Woman by Shania Twain and Sin Wagon by Dixie Chicks. It was a no brainer that her debut album would feature massive country hits.
