Underwood released her debut album Some Hearts in 2005. The country record was the highest grossing album for the following three years and has sold more than nine million copies. The album featured the smash hit singles Jesus, Take the Wheel and Before He Cheats. Most of the recording took place in Nashville, the capital of country music. For the record she worked with the industry’s top writers, including Desmond Child (who wrote for Bonnie Tyler and Cher) and Hillary Lindsey (who wrote for Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum).
