In 2005 the state of Oklahoma named Underwood Oklahoman of the Year in state’s most popular newspaper. To celebrate, Underwood performed For Once in my Life by Stevie Wonder alongside vocal heavyweights Tony Bennett, Josh Groban and Michael Bublé on the Oprah Winfrey Show. Buzz continued to grow and two years later Underwood became a Grammy award winner. At the 49th Grammy Awards ceremony she received four nominations and won two for Best New Artist and Best Female Country Vocal Performance.
