Blown Away, Underwood’s fourth studio album featured more biting lyrics. Lead single, Blown Away, featured the singer discussing thematic moments detailing a mental breakdown. It highlighted a darker side to the artist fans hadn’t seen yet. Critics responded favorably and she won Favorite Country Album that year at the American Music Awards. The rockier album featured more songs written by the artist than her previous albums and she stated that she had a clear vision for the sound we hear.
