Carrie Underwood was born on March 10, 1983 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The youngest of three girls, Underwood was always the most musical member of the family. She sang at her local church choir and competed in local talent shows. She became a recognizable face in her southern community and Underwood’s name became synonymous with singing. With a supportive family by her side, Underwood decided at a young age that she wanted to pursue singing as a career.
