For the Underwood’s second Mother’s Day as a mom herself, she posted this adorable photo of a young Underwood with her own mother, Carole. Carole was an elementary school teacher growing up and always encouraged Underwood and her sisters to do well in school. She recognized her daughter’s talent for singing and drove the young country singer to the American Idol audition. She waited backstage with host Ryan Seacrest, eagerly anticipating the judges’ feedback. The Underwood family’s lives changed that day.
