Underwood has sung that National Anthem at a number of sporting events. She even sang it at the 44th annual Super Bowl. A self-described sports fanatic, she frequently attends football and hockey games – she is married to hockey player afterall. In 2013 it was announced that Underwood would sing the opening theme song for Sunday Night Football. Continuing her dedication to her philanthropic efforts, Underwood raises money for charity by participating in the City of Hope Celebrity Softball tournament.
