Although Minh had yet to grasp the English language entirely, he was fluent in both Vietnamese and Cantonese already. After nearly 23 years of living in America, Minh had done his best to pick up as much English as he could. Everything changed when Emily started to help her father learn their new language. Emily would write down lists for her father with the English words so Minh could keep them next to his laptop. Now he would always have a cheat sheet to learn throughout the day.
