[post_page_title]Botfly[/post_page_title]
Although botflies themselves are not entirely dangerous, their young are. To protect their eggs, the botfly lays them on the skin of mammals – including humans. As time passes, the larvae break through the barriers of the skin and continue to live within the bodies of these mammals, and can do so for more than 50 days. These larvae are parasites that can cause painful and uncomfortable side effects for its victims, who can also feel them moving beneath their skin.
