There are very few people in the world who like spiders, but there are even fewer people who like the black widow spider because its bite is infamous. Estimated at a whopping 15 times more potent than a rattlesnake, the venom of the black widow spider can prove incredibly painful for those that get in its way. Those who have previously been bitten by the spider report nausea, muscle pain and aches, numbness and partial paralysis. Thankfully, they rarely bite unless provoked.
