It’s rare to find venomous fish, but the stonefish is the most venomous in the world! These perfectly camouflaged fish can often move undetected through the shallows and are ready to attack anybody or anything that comes close to it. With 13 sharp spines on its back, each spine is covered in sacs of venom that can be secreted at any point. Many unsuspecting humans have stepped on these fish before and noted intense pain, shock, heart failure and even death.
