Everybody loves Betty: the story of Betty White

[post_page_title]Forced into radio work[/post_page_title]

White’s television career notably began in 1939 after her and a friend sang on an experimental show. However, before she got her chance to appear on the small screen she had previously worked on radio. The choice wasn’t all White’s though as she was struggling to get any film work after being told she was unphotogenic! Deciding radio was a good place not to show her face, White found herself doing anything from reading radio commercials to performing crowd noises!
