Although unconfirmed, there were rumors that circulated about Costner reportedly being involved in an extra-marital affair with the actress Halle Berry, taking place in 1989 – all whilst he was still married to Cindy Silva.
During the time that these rumors were going around Hollywood, Berry’s acting career had just begun, with her making appearances in a few episodes of the series “Living Dolls.” Neither Costner or Berry ever confirmed whether these rumors were true or not.
