You may not think about this phenomenon often, as it takes place mostly in the seedy underbelly of society, but it’s extremely prevalent, and goes back literally centuries. In fact, historical accounts of dogfighting date as far back as the 1750s, while professional fighting pits flooded the U.S. in the 1860s. But what about the present day?
