All that information may have been weighing on Kelly’s mind, as she decided to make a stern phone call to the woman she had adopted Rocco from. The woman was obviously not expecting the phone call and was extremely surprised to hear from Kelly.
It seems as though this worked against her because she just wasn’t quick enough to make up an excuse as to why Rocco had been in such bad condition. To try and pay Kelly off and keep her from asking any more questions, the woman offered to pay for Rocco’s medical bills. Kelly turned her down.
