Interestingly, the police in another city may soon be getting a pitbull rescued from a dogfighting ring. Dallas, a 3-year-old pitbull mix, was rescued along with about 30 other dogs from a compound in Ontario, Canada in which they were tied to stakes.
A Canadian dog rescue group then fought in court to prevent the dogs being euthanized, and managed to save 18. A shelter in Florida then took in Dallas and nine others, and enrolled him in a program that allows prison inmates to care for and train dogs.
