Back to Kelly, her case eventually made its way to the court, where the judge ruled that Rocco’s previous owner and the woman who sold him on Facebook were both guilty of the mistreatment of animals.
Justice was served for Kelly and Rocco when they heard that they both had to pay a hefty fine of $1,500 each. This wasn’t enough to cover the costs of Rocco’s veterinary bills, but Kelly was happy with the result and the fact that they had been caught out. Now the only thing she needed to worry about was Rocco.
