As Kelly drove Rocco home she realized that he didn’t smell too good. While it isn’t common for a dog to smell after playing outside or going for a walk, Kelly was incredibly knowledgeable about dogs.
She knew that there was a difference between those dogs who had simply worked up a sweat or taken a shower in the rain and those that smelled bad for another reason entirely. She began to think that Rocco’s lack of hygiene with his previous owner could have contributed to the funk.
