After making the world fall in love with disco, John Travolta decided to take the country music world by storm next. His 1980 hit Urban Cowboy saw Travolta playing Bud Davis, a country boy who falls in love with Sissy, played by Debra Winger.
Set in Texas and featuring an epic country music soundtrack, it’s thought Travolta had a big part in helping the genre of music become so popular. It turns out, he was the King of Cool and anything he loved we all loved too.
