John Travolta has always had a slightly rocky road when it comes to relationships. Back in 1976, the star met Diana Hyland (who was 18 years older than him at the time) while they were filming ‘The Boy in the Plastic Bubble.’
Hyland played his mother in the movie, and the two became extremely close and started dating. However, not long after they got together, Diana Hyland was diagnosed with breast cancer. She would pass away, less than a year later, in John Travolta’s arms.
