After John Travolta and Kelly Preston lost their (then) only son, they were absolutely devastated. Around this time, John seriously considered leaving the acting business and just being there for his family.
However, after a lot of contemplation, he decided to use his acting as a way of getting through the terrible tragedy. In an interview, a few years later, he said that he no longer found life interesting… It must have felt like a huge hole had opened up in Travolta’s heart.
